Dear Knights & Dames of the Order
The Grand Patron and the Grand Prior are most saddened to announce that our most beloved Knight and Brother, our Inspector General H.E. The Chevalier Charles Dixon, has passed to a greater Priory Above, on the evening of the 2nd July 2015, at peace and in the comfort and care of his loving wife Ilona and their family at Maidstone Maritime Hospital.
Charles served our Order for many years as our Treasurer and was a close and loyal confident of General Janos Karaszy-Kulin and Dame Iris Karaszy-Kulin. He will be best remembered as a hardworking, friendly, outgoing, caring man of principal, compassion and intellect.
Our thoughts and Prayers are with Ilona and her family.
Our Grand Prior said this morning: “Charles was a stalwart supporter of Iris, myself and the Grand Priory and without his support and guidance our Order’s development would have been almost impossible. He guided and oversaw the legal and constitutional re-organization of our Order, to make our objectives and processes as transparent and robust as possible. He was an unfailing and endlessly patient supporter of me as Grand Prior and Iris as Grand Patron.
His wise counsel will be very much missed, although our future work will, I am confident, prove a worthy testament to Janos’s Inspiration and Charles's guidance.
I ask you all to keep Ilona in particular in your thoughts and prayers.
Charles lived respected and died regretted.
Issued by the Grand Chancellor on behalf of the Grand Patron and Grand Prior
