The proposed design of the Irish Infantry Grove

Restoring the Irish Infantry Grove

The Irish Infantry Grove at the National Memorial Arboretum was consecrated in 2000 and commemorates all who have served and continue to serve in the Irish Infantry Regiments of the Line. The original premise was to create "an acre of Ireland in the heart of the British Isles."

Now a development project has been launched that aims to ensure the Irish Grove reaches its full potential. The idea is for a paved map of Ireland with each of the Irish Infantry Regiments commemorated.

If you would like to help this project, please donate on-line or download the Irish Infantry Grove Appeal leaflet for more information.
