The Order of St. George Educational Scholarship Fund aims to help eliminate educational poverty in Tanzania by providing young women a way to escape from Gender Based Violence, complete their education and become productive citizens of Tanzania.
On 9 May 2025 two trainees (Winifrida Christopher and Neema Jairos) headed to Mambo View Point Hotel in Lushoto, Tanga for their apprenticeship program.
This is very promising, as the Uhuru Hostel has made a request for 14 of our girls to assist with their service, and these same girls will begin their apprenticeship program there starting next month. Multiple hotels in Moshi, Arusha, Same, Dodoma, and Mwanza have also expressed interest in our trainees for apprenticeship opportunities.
These requests highlight the significance and strong demand for our training program within the hospitality sector.
