As part of the 700th anniversary celebrations, we are planning an official delegation to Hungary from 24 April to 27 April honouring the Order’s Hungarian origins. The visit will include ceremonial, cultural, and fraternal events with our Hungarian friends.
The finalised programme is:
Friday 24 April
- Arrival at Ferenc Liszt International Airport (Budapest)
- Group coach transfer to Hatvan, with accommodation at Hotel Korona
- Dinner will be taken at the hotel.
Saturday 25 April
- After breakfast at the hotel, we will travel by coach to St Adalbert Roman Catholic Church, Hatvan, to attend Mass. Immediately following Mass, the Investiture Ceremony will take place
- A gala lunch will follow
- In the evening, we will travel by coach to Nádas Csárda, near Hortobágy, for dinner featuring traditional Hungarian folklore
- Return to the hotel afterwards.
Sunday 26 April
After breakfast, we will travel by coach to our Knight’s Farm for a full day programme, including:
- Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)
- Extensive hospitality with our Hungarian knights and guests
- Both lunch and dinner will be provided, featuring traditional Hungarian cuisine, with food and drink throughout the day
- Return to the hotel in the evening.
Monday 27 April
- Early morning, transfer to Ferenc Liszt International Airport (Budapest) for return travel.
Cost
€654 per person (excl flights), covering airport-to-airport full service, accommodation, meals, transport, and programme activities.
