Members of the Order joined our friends at the very active North Downs, Kent branch of the Royal Society of St George to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. A memorial wreath was laid at the war memorial at East Malling, Kent, supported by an honour guard from the Ditton Squadron of the Air Training Corps. After the ceremony, 35 guests repaired to the local hostelry, the King and Queen, for a celebratory dinner and to hear a fascinating talk by historian and author Geoff Simpson, who spoke about the Battle over the fields of Kent. and the brave men and women who defended our freedom.
