The Coptic Orthodox Church community in the United Kingdom will commemorating the Coptic Feast of Nayrouz, marking the new Coptic Year, at their annual Vespers Service in St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey on Thursday 22 October, 2015 at 7.00pm.
The service will give thanks for the past year and commemorate the martyrs of the past two millennia. It will at the same time remember those who continue to suffer for their faith today, including our Coptic and Ethiopian brothers who recently gave their lives in Libya. The service will also be marking the Armenian Genocide while honouring those who continue to suffer in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Kenya, Nigeria, and further afield.
While praying for our brothers and sisters in Egypt, Christian and Muslim alike, they will also be remembering our brethren across the Middle East and Africa at this time of uncertainty and turmoil.
