The Chairman of Broxbourne Council’s World War One Commemoration Panel, Councillor The Chevalier Eddy Rowland KCStG has arranged for a limited number of members of the Order of St. George and its Chelsea Pensioner members and friends to attend as VIP guests and play a key part in this very special occasion. The Chevalier Mike Doak KCStG CLJ OMLJ, acting as Grand Prior in locum tenens, will invest two Chelsea Pensioners as honorary knights of the Order during the course of the evening. The event will start with light refreshments and should finish by approximately 9.30pm.
‘For the Fallen’ tells the story through song, dance, music and words of two people separated by the First World War. It brings together all aspects of the community for a production to commemorate and remember the events of 100 years ago. Honouring the pledge that each generation makes, ‘we will remember them’. In doing so, it honours and pays tribute to all those who died in the service of their country during this terrible conflict.
