A vital new chapter in the development of our Order has been started with the elevation of our Grand Commandery of the Americas to full Grand Priory status.
At a special event at the Order’s Atlanta, Georgia investiture in October 2019 the Grand Chancellor presented the new Grand Priory of the Americas with its commissioning warrant, and Robert Soderstrom was invested as the first Grand Prior.
The creation of the Grand Priory of the Americas reflects the tremendous work members of the Order have undertaken in North America, with several million dollars worth of medical aid and educational materials having been sent to projects in northern Iraq, Nigeria, Tanzania and the Philippines, and work underway to develop new programmes in Africa and the Caribbean.
