For some time, it has been the Grand Prior’s wish to create Commanderies across the UK, the better to reflect more local identity, specific area events and closer contact between members within localities.

Up until now, there has been no London Commandery and it is felt that this is a lost opportunity for our Capital City to be properly represented within the Commandery initiative.

To that end, we are working to establish a London commandery, reflective of all the 32 boroughs. It will be necessary for each Borough to establish one representative within the next 12 months.

Work is starting to identify those members and make contact with them to seek their views and offer them the opportunity to engage in the initiative.

The vision is to run events, raise charity and deliver charitable giving within London and to contribute to the Order’s charity purse. It will also be attractive to hold an annual Thanksgiving service in a London Church , probably within the City of London itself.

Please contact us if you would like to be involved with the London Commandery.
