On Sunday 10 November 2024, members of the South East England Commandery attended the Service of Remembrance at their Commandery Church – Holy Trinity, Guildford, Surrey. They then took part in the parade down the historic High Street to Guildford castle for the wreath laying ceremony.
This is an annual event for the Commandery, which they have attended since their original formation. Members of the Order are an integral part of the service with key roles to play within the church and at the war memorial.
After the wreath laying the members were invited to the historic Guildhall, for tea, coffee and biscuits. The Guildhall has Tudor origins with its Classical front dominated by a magnificent bracket golden clock made in 1683.
Our photo shows the members who attended, from left to right: Chevalier Omer Kokou-Tchri (who placed the wreath on behalf of the Order); Chevalier Johnny East; Chevalier Keith Homewood; Dame Ann Pierce; Dame Mandy East; Rev’d The Chevalier Rod Pierce.
